Once you catch the Shiny version of this flying pocket-monster, then you will be able to have an exclusive move.
"Sunday, July 17, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. local time. Trainers, We're excited to announce that Starly, the Starling Pokémon, will be featured during July Community Day!" said Niantic via its official PokemonGOLive website.

The game developer confirmed that Starly would appear more frequently than usual. If you want to participate, you must know the major details.

Niantic explained that trainers would be able to evolve their captured Starly during the event or five hours after the official Community Day.

If you ever capture one and want to evolve it into Staraptor, you must click the Map View and choose the Main Menu option.
After that, choose Starly from the Pokemon list and tap on the Evolve button. This will tell you how many Candy items you need to successfully evolve the character.

Once you are able to evolve your Starly to Staraptor, here are the best moveset you can take advantage of, as reported by Dexerto:
Gust
- Gust is considered the best moveset for Staraptor since it has higher damage compared to Quick Attack and Wing Attack. This ability is also exclusive during the "Pokemon GO" Starly Community Day 2022. Game critics also explained that Gust is the most superior Fast Move.
Starly Community Day's Other Details
Aside from capturing a Starly and evolving it into a Staraptor, you can also do other exciting things during the latest Community Day.
These include the so-called event "Field Notes: Starly," which costs $1 for its entry fee. On the other hand, you can also participate in the special Tier Four raids, which will feature Staravia (the form before Staraptor).
During the event, you can take advantage of these perks as well:
- Triple Catch XP
- Double Catch Candy
- Starly will be photobombing GO Snapshots during the event
- Three-hour Lure Modules
- Three-hour Incense
- Double chance to receive Starly Candy XL from catching Starly
