"Cyberpunk: Edgerunners" released its first trailer coming from the multimedia streaming giant, Netflix, and it delivers an anime limited series that will focus on the dystopian world that the game and book brought. CD Projekt Red's "Cyberpunk 2077" brings a close-to-reality animation with its game, but it still gives off influences to the new streaming series.

Netflix already has a title card and page for "Cyberpunk: Edgerunners" available on its platform now, and it is an anime adaptation of the famous game from CD Projekt Red. It will focus on a new experience for all, something which users need not control for the characters to move and explain the story, centered on a different point of view that is an original from the series.

The streaming company already released a new trailer for the game, and it brings much information about the story, its animation, and the take on a "Cyberpunk" series from the game. It shows a Japanese animation take on the title, something different from the game itself.

It centers on a street kid living in a dystopian world filled with the technology used for crimes and violence, being an "edgerunner" or mercenaries known as "cyberpunks."

CD Projekt Red's 'Cyberpunk 2077'

"Cyberpunk 2077" is one highly anticipated game from CD Projekt Red since they announced the title last 2012, with a long waiting time for its release in late December 2020, with fans getting impatient for it. Some received the preorder of the game, coming with an exclusive 50-page comic that brought more to the story than the game itself.

The game won the Best Story award from the Steam Game Awards last 2021, and it focused on the plot and setting of the game that sets it out more than fifty years from the present. It is a reimagination of what technology can do to a society, and having it accessible to the public for more than development, but also crime and corruption.

Now, CD Projekt Red is continuing its development for the "Cyberpunk" game, with an expansion coming soon for the public to enjoy.

The game may have gone through rough patches as it did not fully achieve what it set out to bring to the public, or did not meet expectations of the title despite its massive production time. However, the game still has massive influences on many media entities, including Netflix which made its anime take based on the game and novel.
