Virtual reality is slowly cementing its reputation in the gaming industry. Every year, more and more classic games are getting the VR treatment, and this time, one of the world's most popular franchises is added in the line-up.

Star Wars Pinball Realistic Gaming

"Star Wars Pinball" VR is showing that virtual reality can breathe new life into classic experiences as well. Not only is "Star Wars Pinball" VR the best entry in the series, but it is already one of the VR favorites, according to CNET.

"Star Wars Pinball" VR shows that players don't always have to fight Darth Vader, or piloting their own X-Wing to have fun.

Zen Studios uses virtual reality to make something very simple shine and there is a chance that other developers might start doing the same thing as well, TechRadar reported.

What makes "Star Wars Pinball" VR different is that it does exactly what it sets out to do, which is to make a great "Star Wars" pinball game. The pinball tables feel more alive than any other pinball video games in the past.

Players can have an in-the-flesh perspective on the mechanics of the game, being able to pull the launcher and push in on the buttons. The lights and the sounds make it feel as if the player is actually standing in front of a table.

Only 6 of Zen Studio's previous 19 "Star Wars" tables have been adapted for this game, the game's menus could be streamlined to better fit the new VR format.

"Star Wars Pinball" VR features a Fan Cave, which is a space filled with "Star Wars" memorabilia, much of which players will unlock as trophies by playing.

The video game features two new tables, one is inspired by "The Mandalorian" television series, while the other is "Star Wars" Classic Collectibles.

The other six tables are remastered versions of tables that Zen Studios has previously released. It includes "The Mandalorian," "Star Wars: A New Hope," "Star Wars" Classic Collectibles, "Star Wars: Return of the Jedi," "Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back," "Star Wars Rebels," "Rogue One: A Story Wars Story," and "Masters of the Force."

Also, aside from freely playing these tables whenever players want, players can also test their pinball skills in the game's career mode.

This mode gives players a series of objectives to complete, and they'll need to complete these goals in order to move onto the next task, as per Super Parent.

That means for the first objective, players are asked to earn a required number of points on "The Mandalorian" table within just 5 minutes.

VR Advancement

These types of opportunities for augmenting real life is an area that fans wish VR explores more deeply. The sounds and lights from each arcade machine could transport fans back to the early days of gaming, but this time players can have fun in the comfort of their own homes.

Although it is very simple, there is beauty to it. The tables are able to come to life with animated ships and characters that react to their playing, in ways that real-life pinball tables can't match, including the mini-games that bring players face to face with famous "Star Wars" characters like Yoda and The Mandalorian.
