"I'm not a cat" was the words of a certain Texas attorney by the name of Rod Ponton as that point was clarified during a particular virtual Zoom court appearance in Judge Roy Ferguseon's very own 394th Judicial District of Texas just this Tuesday. The statement was given to clarify what was seen on the attorney's screen.

Attorney Zoom fail

Ponton's own screen reportedly showed a video filter of a cute cat in placement of where his face should have been. The video started making rounds across the internet on Tuesday exactly after Ferguson had shared it in a particular tweet. Furguson's own court actually serves Culberson, Brewster, Hudspeth, Presidio, and Jeff Davis counties.

According to the story from King5, Furguson told Mr. Ponton believed that the cat filter was turned on within the video settings. Mr. Ponton then noted that he does not know how to remove the filter and that his assistant is trying to remove the filter. Apparently, his anxiety was also accentuated by what was seen as the cat's downward-shifting eyes.

Funny Zoom fail video

The video was reportedly uploaded to the 394th District Court of Texas - Live Stream YouTube channel. The video showed how Mr. Ponton noted that he is prepared to go forward and that he is there live and still not a cat.

The said YouTube video of the Zoom, as the time of the writing, has 750,000 views and is probably the latest funny and cute Zoom mishap of this year. Ferguson then wrote in a series of tweets addressing the video on Tuesday that it is important for people to check their own Zoom filters and make sure that they are turned off.

The legal profession during the pandemic

He also noted that these particularly fun moments are actually a by-product of the whole legal profession's dedication to be able to ensure that the justice system will continue to function despite the tough times. It was said that everyone that is involved handled the situation with dignity and also that the filtered lawyer was able to show incredible grace ending his statement saying "true professionalism all around!"

Fergusen also noted that he wanted to highlight the entire professionalism of all of the other lawyers that were involved during the hearing that took place today and also during the whole pandemic. He noted that it is very crucial to him that this will not be couched as a way to poke fun or mock the lawyer .

He also noted that this goes hand-in-hand along with the legal community-s own effort to be able to continue representing their very own clients during the tough and difficult times, and also at quite an incredible professionalism as well as dignity that was displayed by everyone that was involved in the said Zoom.

Ponton has reportedly been in some famous cases and was even featured in the previous 2019 "The Confession Killer" which is a Netflix documentary series about the notorious Henry Lee Lucas who had confessed towards over 600 unsolved murders that happened back in the 80s.
