TikTok, a popular video-sharing app, had seen progress in the past years. But there seemed to be a huge struggle now for the company. Reports said that the app might be facing huge losses of over $6 billion. Thanks to the influential people who are saying it should be deleted right away. That means you, Anonymous hackers!

Anonymous' campaign works! TikTok now loses $6 billion

On Friday, July 3, Tech Times reported that the infamous hacktivist group Anonymous made a warning to all the well-known Chinese app users, TikTok.

The organization told the users to delete the app right away from their phones before anything happens to their data. They said that the app is a 'Chinese malware' that everyone should be warned about since it gathers CPU type, memory usage, disk space, and hardware ids of all its users.

Before Anonymous released their final say about the Chinese app, India has first started to scrutinize Chinese apps.

On June 30, India declares banning of 59 apps from Play Store-- mostly from China. They accuse the apps as threatening to the "national security and defense" of the country.

Among the 59 apps, one of these was TikTok.

After all the warnings, a TikTok landslide may happen soon

Forbes reported on Saturday, July 4, that the Chinese app may face a terrible landslide from its huge sales through the years.

Due to the Anonymous warning and India banning Chinese apps, the sales of TikTok may have been slowly plunging down. And it is not a good sign for the app.

The local Chinese news site claims that ByteDance-- TikTok developer-- invested more than $1 billion to expand the Indian market. However, they didn't know that a different thing is about to happen in the future-- or that means today.

Since the Indian market was no longer allowed to use well-known Chinese apps like TikTok, the report said that the ban could cause a whopping $6 billion lost, anytime now. This amount, if reliable, would exceed all the potential losses that other banned apps had made.

As of now, TikTok nor ByteDance have made comments about the possible huge losses that the company may face in 2020. What's sure, however, was there stand against all the critics of their app.
