Rumor #1: The Peaky Blinders has started filming season 6.

After a photo of lead actors Cillian Murphy (Thomas Shelby) and Paul Anderson (Arthur Shelby) on set appeared on social media, rumors that the cast has begun filming for the sixth season spread like wildfire. It was quickly shot down by sources on the show.

"They've not started filming yet," the sources told Metro in mid-November. "Sorry. It won't be until some point in the new year."

So, when will our beloved Shelby family return on set? Director Anthony Byrne answered this question on the Obsessed With Peaky Blinders podcast in September:

"I start later this year and then we shoot next year and I have no idea when it would be out."

The husband of Helen McCrory, the actress who plays Polly Gray, also told the Radio Times that her wife is due to return on set in March next year.

"There will be a small overlap next year because Helen starts filming Peaky Blinders in March before I've finished showing Billions in New York - but I'll try and fly back as often as I can."

There. Filming will start early 2020 and based on the previous seasons, the new season will land on Netflix at the end of 2020 or early 2021, as suggested by Byrne.

In the meantime, hold onto your peaked hat and remember what Aunt Polly always says: "Tommy has a plan."

Rumor #2: Adolf Hitler will be featured in the new season.

Steven Knight, the mastermind behind the dandy criminal drama, said in a Reddit AMA that "a figure from history which may surprise people" will appear on the show's sixth installment.

The comment immediately set off a wave of various reactions from fans, with many of them taking wild guesses on who that historical figure might be.

If you know your history, Oswald Mosley married his second wife, Diana Guinness, in Berlin in 1936. Can you guess who the guest of honor in their wedding ceremony was? Hint: he was the leader of the Nazi Party.

If this rumor is true, we can expect nothing but a darker plotline for the series' fan-favorite antihero, the bookmaker-turned-politician Tommy Shelby. But until we see the new season or the showrunners give hints, we'll have to wait patiently and calm our Brummie gangster hearts.

Rumor #3: David Beckham will join the cast.

This is actually an old rumor. When David Beckham was spotted with the cast on set—and in costume—both the fans of the football star and the BBC drama went gaga.

But Beckham was quick to deny the rumors that he will do a cameo on the show. Apparently, he co-owns the fashion label Kent & Curwen, which collaborated with Peaky Blinders for their range labeled "The Garrison Tailors."

Meanwhile, Knight confirmed that many A-list celebrities are queuing up for the show.

"We get a lot of people who get in touch and want to take part," Knight said. "There's Brad Pitt. Snoop Dogg. A$AP Rocky, too."

However, he also added that he did not want cameos to confuse and distract viewers from the main storyline.

"I think in series six we will open the door a little to get some celebrity actors in. The main thing is they have to be good. We'll just get the best actor for the part, as we did with Sam Claflin, who plays Mosley. He's perfect."

Rumor #4: Al Capone will enter the picture.

In an interview with Digital Spy and other media, Knight confirmed that he will "go West" in season 6. This comment immediately threw fans under the bus, resulting in rumors that the American gangster Al Capone will enter the picture.

But Knight previously discredited this rumor.

"Yeah, a lot of people thought I'd be going in that direction," he said to the press. "I really don't want to go down that road because it's just so familiar."

"I think it's a bit of a minefield because it's been done a lot. The Americans do it, and they do it well. They do their own mythology, and they don't care. They just make it. It's mythological. But this is our story. This is more 'us': it's Britain and Ireland. I never really wanted to go," he concluded.

We know you have a lot of questions about the drama's new season, but apparently, we all have to hold our horses, put our razorblade caps down, and stand by for more news.
