Renee Zellweger is one of the most well-known actresses, so one has to wonder what is going on when folks claim they can no longer recognize her. After all, she had a very recognizable face, so what changed?
After seeing the latest look of the star, many folks on the web and elsewhere have accused the actress of going under the knife to get her new look.
Zellweger herself came out to set the record straight.
According to the actress, she did not have plastic surgery done to her face, and everything people are seeing is all down to her being in her 40s now. Yes, Renee Zellweger is getting old and she no longer has that spunky look we fell in love with in the years past.
That's OK. She's still the same person, of course; though we haven't seen much of her when it comes down to new movies. Who knows? Maybe we saw her -- we just didn't recognize it was her.
"I'm glad folks think I look different! I'm living a different, happy, more fulfilling life, and I'm thrilled that perhaps it shows," Zellweger, who is now 45, told People magazine.
"People don't know me in my 40s. People don't know me [as] healthy for a while. Perhaps I look different. Who doesn't as they get older? Ha. But I'm different. I'm happy," she said.
She also called the plastic surgery rumors silly, and surely they are.
Zellweger also claimed that she's living a happier and healthier lifestyle and, to be honest, she does look healthier compared to her earlier years. She attributes this new found life of hers to boyfriend Doyle Bramhall II and her choice to cut down on the amount of work she's doing.
At the end of the day, who cares if Renee Zellweger had plastic surgery or used Botox to heighten her cheekbones? It's her life, and she is free to live it as she pleases, as long as she's not doing anything illegal and completely out of the ordinary.
Folks should leave the actress alone, and focus more on their own lives.
