ZTE recently launched the 5.5-inch Nubia Z11 with much fanfare and come July 6, the smartphone is set to go on sale in China. Now it seems that ZTE is poised to reveal yet another handset — the Nubia N1 — very soon.
According to a new report from Mobipicker, some slides from a PowerPoint presentation that show off the impending Nubia N1 smartphone from ZTE leaked on Weibo on Sunday, July 3.
"Today, some new details have been leaked from China's microblogging site Weibo suggesting that a new phone named Nubia N1 is going to be released soon," revealed the publication.
The series of slides leaked on the Chinese social networking platform seems to be genuine and from an in-house presentation from ZTE for the alleged Nubia N1. The slides give a peek into the specs of the upcoming ZTE smartphone, especially its colossal battery.
Apparently, the Nubia N1 will house a massive 5,000 mAh battery which would enable users of the handset to enjoy ample battery life. Smartphones having increasingly bigger battery capacities is not uncommon, as the Asus ZenFone Max (2016) boasts a 5,000 mAh battery as well and the Lenovo P1 houses a 4,900 mAh battery, to name a few.
The leaked slides also reveal that the ZTE Nubia N1 will sport a 5.5-inch Full HD 2.5 display with a resolution of 1,080 x 1,920 pixels. The smartphone will also boast Corning Gorilla Glass 3. While the leak does not give a very clear look at the phone, it seems that Nubia N1 will have an all-metal body and be quite svelte.
Under the hood, the Nubia N1 will allegedly be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor and 3 GB of RAM. It will also tout a Mali-T860 GPU. The ZTE smartphone will also have 64 GB of on-board memory which can be expanded via a microSD card.
The Nubia N1 will also offer support for a fingerprint sensor. However, the sensor will be located on the rear and not the front of the handset.
The ZTE smartphone that is in the pipeline will also offer support for 4G LTE with VoLTE. It will offer Bluetooth 4.1, GPS + GLONASS, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4 / 5 GHz), NFC and USB Type-C.
The Nubia N1 will have a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfie lovers and a 13-megapixel primary camera. The smartphone will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and not the next-gen OS Android Nougat. The hybrid dual-SIM model will also have the Nubia UI 4.0 running on top.
It is not known when ZTE would announce the Nubia N1 officially. However, one of the slides reveals that the company will price the Nubia N1 at CNY 1699 which is equivalent to $255.
