Best Buy is offering a massive discount of $150 on the purchase of Samsung Galaxy Note 5 on a two-year contract.
Rumors of the Galaxy Note 6 have been swirling in the tech space for a few months, and Samsung is highly likely to launch the phablet in August this year. The expected launch date of the Galaxy Note 6 is a few months away. However, customers who do not want to wait long and would like to purchase a phablet can consider the Galaxy Note 5, which sports top-end features that can compete with many existing handsets.
The Galaxy Note 5 has a massive 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels and 518ppi. The mobile phone runs on an octa-core 2.1GHz Exynos 7 processor and 4 GB of RAM, which boosts multitasking and the performance of the handset.
The handset is available with 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB internal memory options. Samsung has been criticized for not including a microSD card slot for storage expansion.
The Samsung offering sports a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera (F/1.9) with optical image stabilization (OIS). The Galaxy phone also has a 5-megpixel front-facing camera (F/1.9).
The Galaxy Note 5 comes running on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system, but the handset has received Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in many regions of the world.
With so many top-end features in tow, the Galaxy Note 5 is worthy enough to put many other smartphones to shame.
Customers who want to purchase the Galaxy Note 5 can take advantage of the $150 discount on a two-year contract from Best Buy. A two-year contract requires customers to make a down payment of $249.99 for the 32 GB or $349.99 for the 64 GB model.
However, with Best Buy's $150 discount, customers have to pay $99.99 (32 GB) or $199.99 (64 GB) as down payment for a two-year contract.
Sprint and Verizon Wireless are the only carrier options for this deal. Sprint is offering both the 32 GB and 64 GB models with Black Sapphire, White Pearl or Gold color options. Verizon is offering all the hues apart from Gold in the 64 GB model.
Many people may not want the hassle of a two-year contract, but the latest offer from Best Buy may attract many smartphone buyers.
