Asus is getting ready to launch the latest addition to its line of hybrid tablets, the Asus Transformer Book T302. The 2-in-1 tablet has a 12.5 inch display screen, removable keyboard and runs on Windows 10 operating system.
Depending on users' budget and requirements, Asus offers a number of tablet variations such as Transformer Book T302, T302CA, T302C, T302 Chi and T32C. The Asus Transformer Book T302 is an upgraded version of the T300 Chi, which was released in 2015.
The hybrid tablet can either have a Skylake Intel Core M3 or M7 processors, and a choice between 1,920 x 1,080 and 2,560 x 1,440 pixel resolutions. The new processor flaunts a 4 MB cache and clocks between 900 MHz to 2.2 GHz frequency.
The Asus Transformer Book T302 also comes with a new HD Graphics 515 GPU. Its RAM selections range between 4 GB and 8 GB DDR, In addition, the new model has a microSD memory card reader that allows users to expand its internal storage, which comes in either 128 GB, 256 GB, or 512 GB.
Another cool feature of the T302 series is that it's ultra-light and ultra-thin, making it a perfect device especially when travelling. The tablet rocks an ultra-slender 8.05 millimeters (0.32 inch) profile and only weighs 750 grams (26.5 ounces).
The Asus Transformer Book T302 features support for Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 4.1 and also has dual USB Type-C ports available for users. Its full-size keyboard includes the standard USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports.
In addition, Asus also added an adjustable-intensity keyboard backlight to the T320, so users will never have to struggle while typing in the dark. In case one wishes to dodge the use of keyboard entirely, the hybrid tablet also works with an active stylus for pressure-sensitive input.
Asus says that the 38 WHr battery in the tablet should last up to 8 hours, if used for Web surfing and playing videos. A second battery in the keyboard dock kicks in when the keyboard is connected, thus, extending the tablet's battery life.
Asus is yet to announce the full details regarding the official release date of the Asus Transformer Book T302, as well as its retail price, but fans expect that Asus will make an official announcement no later than July 2016.
