The HTC One M10 will be officially released this spring, and the newest image leak reveals how the latest HTC handset will look like.
Thanks to the leaked photo, fans of the OEM have a better perspective on the frontal design of the upcoming One M10.
Design And Build
Assuming that the leaked photo is indeed of the HTC One M10, it should be noted that the device features no logo and no black bar on its front. It does sport an oval-shaped home button at the bottom end of the device, which could act as a fingerprint sensor.
With the implementation of the home button/fingerprint sensor, HTC did scrape the BoomSound speakers, just like in the case of the One A9. This could easily push away some of its fans who saw the BoomSound speakers as one of the strong selling points of the handset.
The right side of the phone features the volume buttons and the power button. The latter seems to have a ridged texture, which is useful if you need to press it without looking at the device.
The recent image leak shows future customers that they will benefit from the quality metal construction that HTC is famed for. It should be noted that, at first glance, the latest HTC flagship resembles the One A9 quite a bit.
The One A9 draw heavy criticism at its released, mainly because its design was so similar to Apple's that it made it look like a clone. HTC seems to have shrugged off the outrage, as the One M10 does seem to repeat the mistakes of the past.
Specs And Region
In January, Evan Blass from Venture Beat got word about the upcoming smartphone's specs.
The HTC One M10 takes its processing power from the latest-gen Snapdragon 820 chipset, which is backed by 4 GB of RAM. The handset's purported storage space amounts to 32 GB. A microSD card slot could expand the storage space even more, and image/video capturing will come from a 12 megapixel UltraPixel main camera.
We also reported that the One M10 will land in two versions, adapted to its destination markets.
The first model will sport the aforementioned Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 CPU and it is headed for the U.S. and European markets. The second version of One M10 will come packed with a MediaTek-based chipset, and is built for markets in Asia.
The screen seems to be a 5.1-inch QHD AMOLED, capable of displaying 1,440 x 2,560p resolutions. The Adreno 530 GPU will make sure that the visual experience of the One M10 will be as good as it gets.
Software
On the software side, there is a high chance that Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow comes pre-installed. The manufacturer runs HTC Sense 8.0 UI on top of the Android OS.
Pricing And Availability
No official information pertaining to the price of HTC One M10 exists. Should the device match the previous flagship cost, it should be listed at about $530.
As to the release date, that information is classified as well. What Blass' source pointed out, however, is that the One M10 will go live sometime after the Mobile World Congress in February.
The recently leaked picture also comes from Blass, who posted it on his Twitter account.
