The Final Fantasy VII port coming to PlayStation 4 doesn't yet have a release date, but it does have its trophy list.
Just to be clear, we aren't talking about the Final Fantasy VII remake, which will feature new game mechanics and an all-new graphics engine. The version of Final Fantasy VII being discussed here is a port of the PC version of the game for the PS4, announced before the remake was made official.
The trophies for the game appear to have been leaked ahead of release and can be found on gaming site exophase.com. The fact that the trophies exist may come as an indication that the game is set to arrive sooner rather than later for Sony's latest console. An October release date for the game floated around the web a few months back, but was later debunked. Square-Enix has yet to formally announce when the game will be released.
Some, but not all, of the leaked achievements can also be found in the Steam version of Final Fantasy VII. However, there are more than a few new ones that players will be unlocking for the first time once the game finally arrives, including trophies like "Failure IS an Option", which requires for your whole party to fall in battle. There is also the "Best Bromance" achievement, which has players going on a date with Barret to the Gold Saucer.
As for the Final Fantasy VII remake, news has slowed to a crawl. Aside from knowing the game will be changing some of the original's game mechanics and obviously feature new and improved visuals, not much is known about the title.
Expect the original Final Fantasy VII to arrive on PS4 soon.
