The name Bluboo may not ring a bell, but its Xtouch handset could just be the strongest device to hit the market to date.
In a recently created video, the company conducted a hammer test on the new Xtouch handset where the device's screen display was placed on top with a hollow block which was then hit by a hammer. While the concrete block, which was around four times the size of the handset, instantly cracked and split into two, the device didn't show any signs of damage as the display remained intact and the touchscreen was still scrollable.
The hammer test was conducted for the second time using the same procedure. A hollow block was again placed on top of the handset's screen display. The piece was part of the concrete block that broke in two on the first hammer test. However, this time around, its size is a bit smaller, which is almost similar to the size of the handset.
Once again, the Xtouch smartphone survived fairly well from the second hammer test.
Bluboo touts the Xtouch smartphone as being built with Gorilla glass 3 that features an exquisite suspended screen design. According to the company, the handset's screen built is enough to reduce the probability of screen break by up to 60 percent.
"It is built-in dynamic display adjusting technique, saving more power and vastly improving the screen lifecycle," said Bluboo.
Apart from being unbreakable, the Xtouch's 5-inch display also looks so excellent with all the delicate details of an image being considered.
"Seems the whole real world is just under the screen. Everything is so real in a digital world," added Bluboo.
Other notable features include a resolution of 1,920 by 1,080 pixels, Android 5.1, 3 GB RAM, 32 GB storage, MT6753 64bit octa-core processor, 13 MP Sony IMX214 rear camera, 8MP OV F/2.0 front camera, 3D mirror back cover, dual SIM dual standby, the latest 802.11ac Wi-Fi, front fingerprint ID, independent HiFi system, 3,050mAh li-polymer battery that can last for one day of heavy usage, and a specially designed 3 in 1 SIM card tray that easily supports a pair of micro SIM cards and one SD card.
The Xtouch smartphone is now available for preorder at a low price of $99. The price is limited to 3,000 pieces and will then be increased to $179.99 as the original price once the limit is reached.
