There is now a so-called "celebrity blockout" happening on social media, with users on various platforms like X, TikTok, and Instagram blocking the accounts of renowned personalities online.
It was revealed that the reason behind this was the Israel-Hamas war, especially with what is happening in Gaza, claiming that these celebrities facing the block is because of their stand or lack thereof.
In this new form of protest against the conflict, celebrities and renowned personalities are now embroiled in this if they do not show support for the side the blocker is standing on.

Social media users have launched the current 'Celebrity Blockout' campaign to oppose celebrities and personalities who are not speaking up regarding the Gaza conflict.
Whether these celebrities have not yet taken a stand, released any statements, or supported what people are going with, they are now the target of a worldwide cancel culture online.
The users argue that they are protesting against these personalities, who have the platform to voice their opposition to the conflict but are not doing enough on their end.

Israel-Hamas Conflict: Personalities Should Be Vocal
There are many celebrities who have already voiced out their concerns and beliefs behind this war, with Elon Musk known for providing Gaza with Starlink support, which Israel spoke up against.
However, not all are doing this, and by blocking them online, their engagements decrease, ultimately affecting their revenue and relevance on different platforms.
The Ongoing Israel-Hamas Conflict
Israel and Palestine have long fought for Gaza, but this escalated last year when their conflict turned into a war that not only affected the nations but also involved innocent civilians in the area.
However, the Gaza conflict faced both countries' fights and the massive proliferation of fake news due to the spread of generative AI online.
Additionally, there was massive propaganda shared online where graphic images of pro-Israel content flooded social media platforms and even went as far as to appear in children's video games.
However, social media platforms were also criticized behind where they stand, particularly TikTok, which was called out because of its pro-Palestine push, which it denied.
Some personalities raised their voices online and denounced whichever side they were against, and some have provided support since the events passed.
But now, global users are engaging in celebrity blockouts that denounce personalities who have not yet taken the stand, calm about what is happening to Gaza, now facing scrutiny online.
