An upcoming first-person shooter game from Ubisoft is nearing, with XDefiant given its wide release date by the company after a three-year wait for the game since it was revealed.

In this new take, Ubisoft offers a free-to-play game that infuses the elements of its famed shooter titles, focusing on a culmination of its renowned shooter games in a 6v6 PvP manner. 

Moreover, it is known that former Call of Duty developers worked on the game, offering the best of Ubisoft under the competitive shooter title. 

Ubisoft's XDefiant is Coming, Release Date Revealed

Ubisoft announced the wide release date of XDefiant, confirming its arrival three years after it opened the early testing phase of the game.

The company said that gamers may be able to access the game on May 21, which is also the same time it releases its pre-season. 

The game is available to download for free via the PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S and X only, not to mention its availability to other platforms like the previous-gen PS4 and Xbox One, as well as the Nintendo Switch. 

Its Preseason would run for six weeks before it introduces Season 1 for the game. 

With this release, gamers may already enjoy the PvP shooter against other players, varying from 6v6 or 4v4 modes to more.

First-Person 6v6 Shooter, Like Call of Duty

Five factions based on Ubisoft's famed franchises, including Far Cry, Tom Clancy's, and Watch Dogs, are available, including Echelon, Phantoms, Cleaners, Libertad, and Dedsec (available after unlocking or purchasing). 

Upon release, it already offers 14 maps with 10 arenas and four progressions, as well as five game modes, and starting it off with 24 weapons and 44 attachments available. 

Ubisoft's Renowned Shooter Action

Ubisoft is not shy about its renowned developments in the shooter action game genre, and it has numerous titles for gamers to enjoy from its collection.

 This includes its famed Tom Clancy's titles, which it adopted to games including The Division seriesGhost ReconSplinter Cell, and more upcoming projects that would expand more of the renowned franchise. 

However, these are not the only shooter action titles from the company, as it is also known for the Far Cry franchise, which is extremely popular, especially with its last release. 

On the other hand, there is also the Watch Dogs franchise, which saw two games, with the second one seeing mixed reviews from the public. 

With Ubisoft's years-long experience with action shooter titles, its promise of this new competitive PvP game has been long awaited by fans since 2021.

Now, it is finally coming for its wide release for all to enjoy, with XDefiant offering a 6v6 first-person shooter (FPS) experience come May 21, also the time of its pre-season, culminating all of its famed games in one.
